The Apennine mountains have been for centuries the engine of the Italian economy. In the last recent decades, however, their role was reduce at any levels. That is the reason for Slow Food Italy, for the first time in November 2013, has convened the General States of the Apennines Community bringing together farmers, breeders, artisans, representatives of associations from across the Apennines, to underline that only with model of collective agriculture the area can have chance to develop in future.
