The University of Milan-Bicocca will States General States of marine research where the main representatives of the public research bodies, national institutions and universities (represented by CoNISMa), discuss the Italian priorities to find shared solutions.
Sixty experts will debate the state of national marine research and the economic uses of the sea; research in marine and oceanic areas has assumed a strategic role in the sustainable economy worldwide, but Italy's spending in this field is still lower than that other countries of the European Union and some other nations of the G20.
An ISPRA expert will participate in the meeting.
