ASI-ISPRA: Sentinel Collaborative GS Thematic Platform for Air Quality (2017-2020)

The project involves the definition, design, development and implementation of a component for a thematic platform capable of allowing the provision of a pre-operational service for the assessment, analysis and forecast of air quality throughout the country. This system is based on the implementation of a chemical transport and dispersion model that uses as input data the initial and boundary conditions of the global CAMS model, the meteorological data of the COSMO national model and the territorial and process data, with assimilation and / or correction with data observed in situ and from space. The SNPA participates in the project, signed by ASI and ISPRA, with Arpae Emilia-Romagna in the role of scientific coordination, ARPA FVG, ARPA Piemonte, ARPA Lazio as Agencies with an operational role and ARPA Umbria, ARPA Campania and ARPA Veneto with the role of active users
