ERA ENVHEALTH - Coordination of national environment and health research programmes – Environment and Health ERA-NET

 

The European Environment and Health Action Plan for 2004-10 pointed to a need to strengthen networks between researchers, policy-makers and stakeholders.
The FP7 ERA-ENVHEALTH project was set up to bring together European organisations planning research in the Environment and Health (E&H) arena with the objective of providing policy support. ERA-ENVHEALTH's task was to mobilise scientific research in support of European and national policies on E&H issues.

Recently Science is concerning a lot about environment and health. This attention helped to improve our laws, our technologies with low environmental impact and individualscapabilities of and local communities to defend themselves from some risks. In recent years, the attention to the quality of confined environment(indoor) has increased a lot, so the  environment in which we spends most of his time and, in general, the interest for the vulnerability of children versus environmental risk factors. Schools are confined limited environment, not only for the staff who work there, but especially for children who spend here several hours a day.

CleanAir@School

The CleanAir @ School project is a Citizen Science and environmental education initiative in schools on the subject of air quality, promoted by the AEA (European Environment Agency) and the EPA Network. The project is coordinated in Italy by ISPRA and involves 15 Agencies of the National System for the Protection of the Environment (SNPA), which carry out activities in 69 schools located in 30 Italian municipalities. The initiative is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea (MATTM) and carried out in collaboration with the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI).

PULVIRUS

PULVIRUS project: put together different tools and experiences of the ENEA ISS and the SNPA with the aim of understanding the link between air pollution and the spread of the pandemic and the role of atmospheric particulate in the complex mechanisms of action of the virus.
