Guidelines to identify environmental characteritstics and problems to support assessment and preparation of the sea documents
This publication presents guidance to carry out the analysis and characterization of the relevant aspects of the current state of the environment, it is meant to be valid for a wide range of plans and programs at a national, regional or local level. To identify the environmental characteristics and problems which are relevant to the plan/program constitutes one of the main stages of the SEA.
The guidance includes sections on: water, air, biodiversity, climatic factors, landscape and cultural heritage, soil and a section that gives more detailed information to support SEA of local plans and programs.
