Analysis of environmental performance indicators in the public administrations recorded Emas: Comparison with the core indicators of EMAS III of Annex IV

The aim of this paper was to carry out a survey on the use of core indicators adopted by the Large ( more than 10,000 people) Italian Local Authorities Registered EMAS. The survey was based on a qualitative data analysis of the Environmental Statement of a sample of Authorities based on the  Regulation (EC) 1221/09.

A comparative study was carried  between the core indicators identified in the Environmental Statement and core indicators provided in Annex IV of Regulation (EC) 1221/09 and the analysis of the results obtained.
