Athmospheric depositions sensitivity: Critical loads of acidity and eutrophication

The report provides the technical basis for the development of international agreements to limit emissions of air pollutants in accordance with the obligations under the Geneva Convention on the 'ross-border pollution. In this process, the mapping of ecosystems is one of the crucial aspects. During 2004, APAT has developed thematic maps concerning the sensitivity of natural ecosystems to the deposition of nitrogen compounds that have highlighted a certain vulnerability of forest environments to atmospheric inputs of this element.
