Enviromental Data Yearbook 2008

The Enviromnental Data Yearbook, the most extensive and comprehensive collection of official data on the environment published in Italy, is a product of former APAT's long term experience on environmental reporting.
The collection and dissemination of environmental information is supported by the environmental regional and provincial agencies and numerous technical and scientific bodies. They support ISPRA in the process of preparation of the document and, in particular, in the data validation and information processing phase. This edition presents a major revision of the core-set of indicators used in all the previous editions of the Yearbook. New types of indicators were also included (eg performance indicators, sustainability indicators, etc..), while other ones were relocated to more consistent thematic areas.
The Yearbook provides a very detailed representation of the addressed environmental issues. It contains the index cards populated in 2008, organized by productive sectors, environmental conditions and responses. Furthermore, you will find a new chapter showing some socio-economic indicators, such as population, land area, SAU, number of companies, infrastructure capacity, to provide the setting in which the reader will be able to find the environmental information of interest.
