Middle-Pleistocene volcanism in the Latium-Abruzzi Apennines: from scientific peculiarities to applicative aspects

The studies conducted in vulcanology of central Italy, in collaboration with Italian universities, produced official geological maps at 1:50,000 scale and allowed to identify new outcrops of volcanics on which interesting scientific insights are still in progress. The first results of this research can help in providing new knowledgment and interpretation on the presence of intrapenninic volcanic systems of central Italy.
