Abstract
For the first time in this annual publication a description about superficial water body
(ecological and chemical status) is provided. Considering the data gathered from
territorial environmental agencies, superficial water bodies’ ecological and chemical
status is reported according to current regulation.
The analysis was carried out only for some of the urban areas, since homogeneous
data for water bodies quality are only available for 44 urban areas compared to the
85 ones considered in the report.
Non homogeneous information concerns about the reference year monitoring and the
monitoring points; the monitored stations must supply data about the impact of the
urban area on the quality superficial water body.
The results show that the ecological status is good for 24% of the water bodies while
the chemical status is good in 83% of the water bodies.
