Qualità dell’ambiente urbano – XI Rapporto (2015)
ISPRA Stato dell’Ambiente 63/15 pagg. 746 - 755

Abstract
Four different environmental indicators are reported for 20 ports included in urban
areas investigated in this report. Particularly, 18 ports are managed by a Port
Authority (Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania, Genova, La Spezia, Livorno,
Messina, Napoli, Olbia, Palermo, Ravenna, Salerno, Savona, Taranto, Trieste and
Venezia), the port of Barletta is managed by the Port Authority of Bari whereas the
port of Pescara is managed by a Maritime Authority. Data and information about the
port of Trapani (a new port included in this new version of XI Rapporto sulla Qualità
dell’Ambiente Urbano) are not reported because not available. The proposed
indicators in this article are the good traffic, the passengers transport, the presence
of environmental issues on the
web
pages of ports and the eventual achievement of
environmental certification (ISO 14001, EMAS, PERS).
In 2013, in the investigated ports, about 350 millions of goods have been handled
and 32 millions of passengers have embarked and disembarked; the values are
similar to those observed in 2012. Most of ports have
web
pages dedicated to
environmental issues and 8 Port Authorities have achieved environmental
certifications.
